Chicken chow mein with the best chow mein sauce




*ingredients:


°1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast

°3 tablespoons of oil

°12 ounces chow mein noodles (uncooked noodles)

°2 cups cabbage

°1 large carrot broth

°1/2 bunch of green onions

°2 cloves of garlic

+Chow mein sauce:

°6 tablespoons of oyster sauce

°3 tablespoons of low-sodium soy sauce

°3 tablespoons light sesame oil (not toasted)

°1/2 cup of chicken broth

°1 tablespoon of cornstarch

°1 tablespoon of granulated sugar


*Directions:


- In a small mixing bowl, use a whisk to mix together the oyster sauce, granulated sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch. sit aside.


Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package, then drain and rinse with cold water and set aside.


Heat a large frying pan or frying pan with olive oil over medium heat. Cut the chicken breasts into small slices and cook them in the oil until golden brown. Remove the strips from the heat and set aside.


Add the carrots, cabbage and pressed garlic and sauté for a few minutes until the vegetables soften slightly and the cabbage becomes slightly translucent.


Add the chicken and noodles back to the pan. Pour the sauce over and continue to cook all the ingredients together for another 2 minutes.


Garnish your chow mein with chopped green onions and serve the noodles straight from the wok, piping hot!
