Homemade German Chocolate Cake
*ingredients:
•3 large eggs
•1 3 ounce instant vanilla pudding
•1/3-1/2 cup oil (depending on the brand of cake mix)
•1 box German chocolate cake mix
•1 8 ounce cream cheese - soft
•1 1/4 c water (depending on the brand of cake mix)
•1 cup confectioners' sugar
•1 cup granulated sugar
•1 12 ounce frozen whipping cream (I didn't find 12 ounces and used 9 ounces)
•1 giant Hershey's bar - grated (other than regular size)
•1 cup chopped pecans (or nuts of your choice)
*How to make it :
Combine cake mix, vanilla pudding, eggs, oil, and water according to cake mix package directions.
Beat until smooth and pour into my 8-inch pan, floured or greased with something like Baker's Joy (I spray them). Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
Remove layers and cool.
Using a stand mixer (IMPORTANT! unless you have a really strong arm!), beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar for 20 minutes.
Add the confectioners' sugar and beat until smooth.
